AJECL is affiliated with Pax Christi International. It is a partner of ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons). It is a member of the Great Lakes Fraternity Network (RFGL). It is a member of UPABP (Pan-African Union of Peace Builders). It is a partner of the Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle (VJN) organization in the three-year project “Great Lakes Youth Network for Dialogue and Peace: Our Diversity – Our Opportunity”. It is a partner of CEJP (Episcopal Justice and Peace Commission) and CDJP (Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission). AJECL has signed a memorandum of understanding with 4 non-governmental organizations, namely Pax Press, Ejo Youth Echo, La Galope Rwanda, and Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle, to realize dreams for the 21st century together.

Vocational Training
AJECL constructed a Center for training in arts and crafts in the Mageragere Sector known as Centre de Formation en Arts et Métier (CEFAM). The center now houses a vocational school: CEFAM VTC recognized by WDA. The center has been teaching tailoring since 2015. In the partnership of WDA, AJECL has opened the school called CEFAM VTC in 2015 teaching tailoring where 9 candidates have obtained certificates; 6 candidates completed the program and ready to graduate in March 2017. Currently the school has 14 students.

With the mission to provide citizens with platforms of expression and media for their civic participation and capacity to respond to socio-economic and environmental challenges; LGR contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) LA GALOPE RWANDA (LGR) is a Rwandan civil society organisation whose objective is to establish a dynamic citizen and environmental participation through professional media for integrated development.

Ejo Youth Echo

EJO YOUTH ECHO (EYE) EYE is determined to be a media organisation that provides youth with a learning, sharing and exchange environment. EYE develops as a strong youth media organization with effective organizational structures and staff with skills in conflict-sensitive journalism and peace building. Ejo Youth Echo envisions a region where relationships are developed regardless of different backgrounds & perspectives and people are active in making intentional decisions for inclusive communities. PROGRAMS Journalists that started to work together back in 2006 founded Ejo Youth Echo NGO. They have been publishing a print magazine; later on in 2009 they started broadcasting a youth radio program on an international radio, Voice of America. In 2013, they decided to create an EJO Youth Echo and had a provisional permit to work in Rwanda in 2014 and had a final legal personality early 2016. The main project of EYE is a radio program, Ejo broadcasted on the Voice of America. For our broadcast ejo! and our other media projects we use the conflict-sensitive journalism approach. Ejo radio program is produced by 15 young journalists and supervised by two senior editors. Those two senior editors are the co-founders of the organization and have been working in the conflict sensitive journalism since 2006.

Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle

Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle (VJN) is a non-governmental organization created in 2002 by the Congregation of the Brothers of Christian Instruction (FIC) at the instigation of Brother Gabriel Lauzon, after having consulted the Bishop of the Diocese of Nyundo, Mgr Alexis HABIYAMBERE, S.J, and the parish priest of Gisenyi, Abbe Epimaque MAKUZA and some other regular people.

Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle

Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle (VJN) is a non-governmental organization created in 2002 by the Congregation of the Brothers of Christian Instruction (FIC) at the instigation of Brother Gabriel Lauzon, after having consulted the Bishop of the Diocese of Nyundo, Mgr Alexis HABIYAMBERE, S.J, and the parish priest of Gisenyi, Abbe Epimaque MAKUZA and some other regular people. Our Mission is to develop the talents and capacities of the population for the promotion of human and spiritual values with a view to their involvement in the process of sustainable development.
