Magnetic theatre

AJECL applies the Magnetic Theatre Approach as a youth-friendly approach within the Gwizamahoro Clubs. Through this approach, graduates of the clubs both in school and out of school use theatre performances and role-playing in schools and community settings as effective tools for advocacy and awareness.

Rather than simply performing, the young actors engage audiences in meaningful interaction. After each performance, community members are invited to participate in open dialogue where they reflect on the issues presented, explore their underlying causes, and work together to identify practical solutions.

This participatory process helps deepen community awareness, strengthens prevention efforts, and encourages collaboration among different stakeholders to better protect young people from health-related risks and challenges.

These issues have been identified as major threats to the physical, mental, and social health of young people. In response, Gwizamahoro Clubs graduates both in school and out of school use magnetic theatre performances and role-playing in schools and communities as powerful advocacy tools.
Through interactive theatre, they do more than perform; they actively engage the audience in dialogue.
After each presentation, community members participate in open discussions to reflect on the issues raised, analyze their root causes, and collectively identify practical solutions. This participatory approach
strengthens awareness, promotes prevention, and encourages collaboration with various stakeholders to protect youth from these health threats
